Desperate Romantics, Dante Gabriel Rossetti/Fred Walters: "Persuasion" by entangled_now (R) -- "It's not about vision, it's about emotion." Gabriel's voice is right against his ear, a trail of warmth and a whisper-soft brush of lips against the skin "So tell me what you feel?"

The End of the Affair, Maurice/Henry: "Apologetics" by Mosca (PG-13) -- It wasn't the same as Sarah, but it eased the pain of her absence.

Eureka, Jack/Nathan: "In Which Nathan Has A Plan (And A Slight Epiphany) And Jack Gets Wooed, Seduced, And Groped (Although Not Necessarily In That Order)" by lastnightblues (PG-13) -- Thus Nathan had initiated his plan. A very intricate, well thought-out plan at that, full of reconnaissance and contingences and arguments for any of Jack's initial qualms, like that they kind of hated each other ("Great sex") or their positions in the town ("Secretly great sex").

Hamlet, Hamlet/Horatio: "Come inside, see my mind, in kaleidoscope" by casablancagirl (PG) -- AU. Hamlet is mad. Actually, genuinely mad. And deludes himself that he's a prince.

Robin Hood, Isabella: "Highest Under Heaven's Dome" by an_lagat_glas (R) -- It had taken seventeen years for her prayers to be answered, and it had been done by her own hands. God had never listened to her.

Lost, Sawyer/Sayid: "Adulteration" by lillyjk (NC-17) -- adulteration: The alteration, especially the debasement, of a substance by deliberately adding something not ordinarily a part of it.

Madagascar, Alex/Marty: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by shaychana (PG-13) -- Hunger is more acute at night.

X-Men, Scott/Logan: "Take One for the Team" by Sionnain (NC-17) -- Scott's had it with Logan, and decides it's time for a confrontation. Logan agrees.

28 Days Later, R: Red Ribbon by kangeiko - A successful, entirely believable attempt to create a backstory to Major Henry West. It singles out a few moments in time, to explain how he became the man he was.

28 Days Later, Jim/West, PG-13: The Love After by Hecate - Being in love with a dead man or being in love with an image of someone who never lived at all. - This is so very clever I can't stop gushing about it. Very dark and raw and poignant!

Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne/Jonathan Crane, PG-13 - Untitled by lanthano - Post-movie, Bruce tracks down Crane in Metropolis. - I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's hard to find post-movie Wayne/Crane fic that fits canon but isn't all too dark, and this is a pleasant exception. Very well written, with brilliant interaction between Bruce (who's clearly in over his head, despite being the one who initiated the encounter) and Crane (who's very sarcastic and almost sane).

Beautiful Girls, Marty/Willy, PG-13: Let's Do Some Living After We Die by Jengrrrl - Marty & Willy, twelve years later. - What I love most about this is the way it matches the tone of the movie perfectly: a little awkward, a little edgy, somewhat bittersweet and very real.

Brimstone, Zeke/Satan, PG-13: Not by Bread Alone by Sarah T. - Breaking up is hard to do. - Very clever and witty, featuring an utterly delightful Satan!

Brotherhood of the Wolf, Fronsac/Thomas, R: Something Lost by toxictattoo - After Mani's death and while Marianne is resting from her attack, Thomas provides a measure of comfort to Fronsac. - The story I've waited years for. Wistful and bittersweet and so very beautiful!

Brotherhood of the Wolf, PG-13: Stories Untold by Truth - Beneath the story told by the Marquis d'Apcher lie a wealth of things unspoken. - Beautiful prose!

Brotherhood of the Wolf, Fronsac/Mani, R: L'eau Vivante by Falstaff - "Because they were not fish, not plants or snakes or beetles. They were warm bodies, flesh and blood, racing heartbeats and kisses so hard that teeth cut into lips. Breath by breath, taking the biology out of sex." - Again, very well written - and deliciously erotic!

Closer, Dan/Larry, NC-17: The Choices We Make by Grace - Dan hadn't planned it, that first time. In fact, he hadn't planned on ever seeing Larry again, and had been more than a little pissed off to find the bastard drowning his sorrows in the same fucking pub as himself. - My gift story, and I'm so very, very happy with it. The relationship between Dan and Larry is very true to the nature of the relationships in the play, and the characterization is spot-on. It's awesome!

Closer, Dan/Larry, R: Someone Else On Top by shanalle - I positively adore how this story handles Larry, retelling certain events of the movie through his eyes and adding an entirely perfect epilogue to the Larry/Dan scene which sounds as if the lines were plucked straight from Marber's play. *loves*

Cruel Intentions, Blaine/Sebastian, NC-17: Competitive Sport by Eyebrow of Doom - Blaine has been trained to keep his hands off the merchandise. Sebastian performs an impression of the vaunted virgin débutante. - Excellent characterization here, and a sizzling hot sex scene. If you know this movie at all, an absolute must-read!

Greek Mythology, Helen/Hector, R: In Defense by Flora - Paris is boring, and Helen looks elsewhere. - A tongue-in-cheek retelling of the events that lead to the fall of Troy, with a clever little twist. Helen is a unapologetic selfish bitch and Hector is the great hero who makes an even bigger mess of things.

Hamlet, Hamlet/Horatio, G: Guestright by prodigy - On his first visit to Castle Elsinore, Horatio finds it not entirely to his liking. - Beautifully written, and Horatio's jealousy for Laertes and his infatuation with his prince are so very palpable.

Quills, Marquis de Sade/Madeleine Le Clerc/Abbe du Coulmier, NC-17: Written On The Body by Beth H - "Be forewarned, its plot is blood-soaked, its characters depraved, and its themes. unwholesome at best. But in order to know virtue, we must acquaint ourselves with vice. Only then can we know the full measure of man." - An epilogue to "Quills", which does a fantastic job of recapturing the darkly seductive atmosphere of the movie.

Rome, Marc Antony/Lucius Vorenus, NC-17: Qui Tacet Consentit by Melina - Mark Antony has a moral compass, but as a young soldier named Lucius Vorenus discovers, its needle doesn't point due north. - A compelling tale of Antony's and Vorenus' first encounter, which explains just how Lucius' made his oath of loyalty to Antony. Spot-on Antony characterization and, despite happening years before the TV show, very canon.

Rome, Octavian/Octavia, PG: can nature change the seasons of the years by kat - A heartbreaking take on the relationship between Octavian and his sister, and the transformation through the years.

Rome, Vorenus/Pullo, NC-17: semper hic erro by Bastet - Titus Pullo is nothing if not incredibly nosy. - It's hard to take a clichéd scenario (like the simple sharing of a bed for a night's rest turning into something decidedly less platonic) and make it so compelling that you forget it's clichéd. Whoever wrote this manages to pull this off perfectly, though. It's so very in character and so natural that it almost feels like canon.

The Three Musketeers, Rochefort/Aramis, PG-13: True Colours by Brightbear - Pre-movie Rochefort/Aramis. Rochefort tries to identify Aramis' loyalties. - Not exactly your usual pairing, but the writer makes you forget that very quickly. Splendid dialogue!

Constantine, John/Balthazar, NC-17: The Pilgrim's Progress and Illuminated by Guede Mazaka

Constantine, John/Gabriel, R: A Distant Mirror by Maygra - Gabriel's more or less human, John's more or less forgiven. When you are caught between God and the Devil you take your comfort where you can.

Rome, Vorenus/Pullo, PG-13: Veritas by Miss Pamela - Missing scene from "An Owl in a Thornbush." Pullo lectures Vorenus about what he needs.

Star Wars RPS, Ewan/Hayden, R: Moments by stealth__grrl - Some moments are fleeting, some seem to last forever. Some are painful, some are joyous.

The O.C., Ryan/Zach, PG-13: Zach and the Art of Overanalyzation by clem k. - If Zach was going to have a crush on a guy, logically, it should be Cohen.

The O.C. / Alias, Seth/Sark, Seth/Zach/Summer, R: Issue Fifty: The Super Crossover Extravaganza by Sara - In which CIA agents are on the doorstep, Seth's game is out of control, and Julian Sark is a bad, bad man. But a hot one.

Doctor Who, Doctor/Rose, PG: At Last by Tara LJC O'Shea - At first, all Rose could see was what wasn't there.

Doctor Who, Doctor/Rose, G: I Sustain the Wings by Doyle - She wondered if he was scared to give her the chance to catch her breath.

Doctor Who, Doctor/Rose, PG: Jiggery Pokery by GylzGirl

Hamlet, Hamlet/Laertes, PG-13: To-morrow, and To-morrow, and To-morrow by rainbowjehan

Harry Potter, Harry/Draco, PG: Ablution by Emma Grant - Some things are better left unsaid.
