[Vid] St. Elmo's Fireby lilly_the_kid. Such a good recruiter vid for Cobra Kai, and I laughed when Eagle Fang made its appearance. Also such a powerful moment in that line I'd forgotten about: "You broke the boy in me, but you won't break the man."
Reverberations by fanfoolishness (LoonyLupin). "Five times Din and Grogu encounter the dark side, and one time they encounter something altogether different." I liked this idea of Grogu's lessons in the Force, and Din's continued connection to him.
Equilibrium by PSW. "McCoy's transport is destroyed in what appears to be a containment field explosion, leaving no known survivors. The truth, however, is not so simple as that ..." Lengthy, plotty story centered around Spock and McCoy and a number of original characters. Aside from having a gen story to dig into, I appreciated that it didn't end at the point where McCoy rejoins the Enterprise but rather follows the story to a different kind of conclusion.
Hail Mary by galaxysoup. I'm not really reading SPN these days but this storyline not only fixed so much within SPN during its season but gave us a much better ending to the series. Plus, I think Castiel could use some motherly friendship.
They Give It Away by BeatriceEagle. NSFW. "A vid about the women of DC comics" is true enough but it also says a lot about the comic book industry.

(Or: Diana and Harley win a fight and also accidentally form a semi-telepathic link, Harley kind of makes friends with the Justice League, and also there are a lot of feelings.)

Stranger Things, Billy Hargrove & Maxine "Max" Mayfield "as the war machine keeps turning" by Sholio - R - It's one day after the end of the world, and Max is on the world's worst road trip.

The Breakfast Club, ensemble "laugh like me again" by Highsmith - PG 13 - It's gonna be a long week.

The Nanny, Niles/C.C. Babcock "Happy Birthday Baby, Or: Life Is Bleak For Butlers & The Lovelorn" by Dollsome PG-13 - In which five birthdays are unsatisfactory, Niles is bitter (and a little bit evil), C.C. is bitter (and a little bit evil), and at least they've got each other. To torture.

The Vampire Diaries, Elena/Kathrine "my fingers curl; they're talons now" by celaenos - R - There is a world where, on a stifling hot day in July, Elena doesn’t look into her bedroom mirror and find her own face glancing back from the window behind her. There's a world where she goes about her day, meets some brothers, and has her life altered all over again. There is a world out there where Elena doesn’t suck in a sharp breath and whip her head around in a panic. There is a world where it’s nothing more than her own reflection.

But not here. Here, it’s flesh and blood and speaking in a throaty drawl from a copy of her own mouth.

Captain America (movies), Steve/Rumlow: "if i give more than enough ground (will you claim it)" by notcaycepollard (NC-17) -- Steve bites his lip. Pulls his hand away, and looks down, and then up, and Rumlow is just looking at him, that’s all, looking at him with a knowing expression. It makes him look down again, and then Rumlow is touching the back of Steve’s neck, the calluses of his palm hot and rough on Steve’s skin.
“Huh,” Rumlow says, low, and that’s it, Steve’s body folding down into it: the touch, the gun, his knees.

Captain America (movies), Steve/Rumlow: "hold your devil by the throat" by alamorn (NC-17) -- Steve ends up in the snowy hell of who knows where and the only things around are a dead bomb and Brock Rumlow. Wanda's weird shit has never been weirder, and Steve has never been less happy to see another human being.

Captain America (movies), Steve/Rumlow: "Fire Meets Gasoline" by smaragdbird (PG-13) -- If Nick Fury hadn’t asked him for a favour, Steve wouldn’t be here. He would not be on a mission with a former Hydra agent.

Captain America (movies), Steve/Bucky: "i'm feeling like a loaded gun (and when it's done i'm the only one)" by notcaycepollard (NC-17) -- There’s something different when it’s Bucky’s hands cleaning his rifle, is all.
“What's got you blushing, Steve?” Bucky asks, low and serious, and Steve flushes harder, hot to his ears.
“I'm not,” he says anyway, and, ”leave it.”

Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent: "Pet Bat" by linndechir (NC-17) -- The Superman of Bruce's nightmares had never smiled. He was a wrathful god, punishing and devouring. Nothing his paranoia had cooked up had prepared him for this – for this smiling, gentle god who took so much pleasure in his power.

Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent: "Another Night" by linndechir (PG) -- Fighting him, there had been no opening to exploit, no weakness or softness for Clark's fists to find. But fighting by his side had made Clark realise just how human Bruce was.

Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent: "enough" by Starfire (kalypsobean) (R) -- Of course Batman kept some kryptonite. Of course, Superman came back. Of course, they both have issues.
