Recently scarfman announced that the web address for his old fanfics had changed, and I decided to use the occasion to rec some of my favorites of his fics, as he’s one of my favorite authors. All these ones are Star Trek fics, and all but one are Doctor Who crossovers. However, none of them require any Doctor Who knowledge - and indeed, several of them don’t require any Trek knowledge either! I would consider all of the fics to be either General Audiences or Teen, and all are gen. Some have background ’ships however, mostly canon or beta canon m/f ones. These were all written in the ‘90s, so some have stuff in them that has been contradicted by shows and films made after Voyager. Without further ado, the recs:

Summary: Posted to Usenet March-April 1998. There’s something unusual about Saavik. She, the Doctor, and Spock are determined to figure out what it is.
Focus characters: Fifth Doctor, Saavik, Spock. Minor Saavik/David.
Notes: could be read w/o knowledge of Star Trek or Doctor Who
Warnings: Discussion of canon temporary character death (though at the point the story takes place only the Doctor know that it’s temporary), non-canon temporary character death, mentions of suspected rape (no rape takes place or took place). Spoilers for Wrath of Khan
